About

My approach to understanding specific complex situations like deep-seated psychological trauma or managing a lifetime mental health disorder is based in the clinical application of therapeutic models and tools that can help you better manage psychological strain or recover from life events or relapses.  I am committed to improving the way I plan and implement therapeutic interventions, particularly with anxious or depressed individuals. I offer a treatment that is closer to and more focused on your experience and current state, that is structured and coherently delivered. I deliberately calibrate my interpersonal style by taking into account your history.

My strong inner motivation to engage in the deeply satisfying work of psychotherapy is fueled by how the process allows you to initiate change and to reach in your own time and individualized journey resolutions for real change with positive difference. My mission is to understand your unique personality, self-concept, and context and then to use effective evidence-based interventions within the therapeutic relationship to enhance self-knowledge, improve your self-objectivity, reality-testing, and agency within your currently difficult or lingering life problems and issues.

As a Registered Psychotherapist holding independent practice status with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, I remain dedicated to systematically updating and adding to my clinical mind of knowledge and skills so I can most efficiently and effectively help my clients. I am a member of the Canadian Association of Psychodynamic Psychotherapists, Ontario Society of Registered Psychotherapists, and the Canadian Association of Cognitive Behavioral Therapies. I am a Beck Institute CBT Certified Clinician.
