About

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker whose clinical focus is helping individuals cope with depression, anxiety, career, job and other life transitions. My practice philosophy emphasizes the modification of negative beliefs and patterns of thinking to lead to lasting change.

I utilize a highly collaborative, cognitive-behavioral, strengths and mindfulness-based approach to therapy. This includes paying attention to my client’s values, and helping them find solutions that align with those values. My approach is structured but flexible enough to allow clients to maximize their time in session.  I also believe that much of the growth clients experience occurs outside of the therapy session; therefore, establishing a plan of action to practice their newly acquired skills is an essential component of treatment.  As a CPA who has had a long career in the business world, I understand the challenges of the modern workplace, including the emphasis on productivity, inadequate resources, difficulties of remote work in the face of the pandemic, and balancing the need for personal and family time.  The perspective and experience that I have acquired over 35 years offers my clients a holistic way to approach their unique problems and struggles.

I have Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Boston College and a Master of Social Work from Boston University. I have also completed a Certificate in Executive Coaching from William James College and Certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from the Beck Institute.
