Staff Clinician
Dr. Shannon Couture O’Flinn earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed her pre-doctoral internship at the University of California at San Diego/San Diego Veteran’s Affairs consortium. She later became a Beck Institute Scholar. Her career has focused on teaching and supervising PhD students learning to provide Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to adult clients. As such, she has considerable experience lecturing on CBT for anxiety, depression, and the integration of other evidence-based techniques (e.g., DBT, ACT) within CBT case conceptualizations. She has held leadership positions at the American Psychological Association and within Division II (Training & Education) of the California Psychological Association. In addition, she has worked extensively with adult and older adult clients with concerns related to depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. At Beck Institute, Dr. O’Flinn treats clients and provides training and supervision to mental health professionals.
