About
With over 20 years of experience and a Master of Social Work degree, my therapeutic approach is informed by my belief that we are all humans riding on the struggle bus. Whether you’re the driver or a passenger, have a window seat or are sitting on the tire hub, to struggle is to be human. But the struggle can be lessened.
Whether you struggle with anxiety, depression, PTSD, borderline personality disorder or other mental health challenges, we can explore these areas together in our individual therapy. I will help you understand how your thoughts and behaviors affect how you feel. Self-compassion and mindfulness will be infused in to this cognitive behavioral approach.
Experience has shown me that people want to be supported and validated while learning skills that work in the long-term. The Beck Institute CBT Certification I’ve earned allows me to provide this to you.
Modalities used include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, STEPPS program for Borderline Personality Disorder, Self-Compassion and Mindfulness based interventions.
If you appreciate an authentic helper with a drive for providing evidence-based therapy, call or email me to set up an appointment.
My bus has a pride flag on it.
