I received my undergraduate and social work degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. Throughout my career, I have treated clients with a wide variety of difficulties in community mental health but am now exclusively focused on coaching clients to use cognitive and behavioral skills to motivate themselves, use good eating habits even when they’re tempted not to, manage hunger, cravings, and the desire to eat for emotional reasons, stay on track and immediately get back on track after making a mistake. I also coach clients who need help with stress management, life transitions, and tackling unhealthy habits and coping strategies, including phone use.
In addition to coaching, I also supervise and train professionals throughout the country in the cognitive behavioral program outlined in The Beck Diet Solution: Train Your Brain to Think Like a Thin Person. I co-wrote The Diet Trap Solution.
“If you struggle with reaching your personal health goals–or with maintaining your progress–chances are your brain probably believes some (if not many!) things about eating, exercising, sleep, self-care, and other habits that support wellbeing that actually aren’t true. I can help you cut through the noise, tie your goals to your values, and motivate yourself to implement healthy habits daily. Eventually it will become easier to do the things that make your body feel healthy and strong, and to overcome urges to do things that don’t.”
